This 1-gang standard-size metal wall plate features a 5/8 in. ID round telephone opening with a metal bushing. It is designed as a clean, finished cable pass-through wall plate, traditionally used for telephone wiring but also suitable for a variety of low-voltage cable applications.

The 5/8-inch round center opening allows telephone or other compatible low-voltage cable to pass directly through the wall plate. The metal bushing provides a smooth, finished edge around the opening and helps protect the cable from rubbing against the cut edge of the steel plate.

Ideal applications include hard-wired telephone installations, telephone systems in offices and commercial buildings, and low-voltage wiring for intercoms, alarms, door-entry systems, speakers, controls, and similar equipment, provided the cable fits through the 5/8-inch opening.

It is also an excellent choice for replacement and renovation projects where an existing telephone or low-voltage wire exits through a standard single-gang box and a neat, professional-looking finished cover is needed.

Installation

Mounts to a standard 1-gang box using the two mounting screws spaced 3.281 inches apart. The telephone or low-voltage cable is brought through the box and fed through the 5/8 in. ID metal-bushed opening before the wall plate is secured to the box.
