Description

4-Inch Square Raised Cover for Two Toggle Switches

This 4-inch square raised electrical box cover is designed to mount two standard toggle switches directly to a compatible 4x4 metal electrical box. It provides a durable, professional solution for surface-mounted electrical installations where the box, switches and wiring remain exposed.

Also commonly called a 4-square double toggle cover, 4x4 two-toggle switch cover, raised toggle device cover or exposed-work switch cover, it is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial electrical projects.

1/2-Inch Raised Exposed-Work Design

The 1/2-inch raised profile provides the space needed to support two toggle switches while covering the electrical box and enclosed wire connections. The switches mount directly to the cover, and the completed assembly attaches securely to a compatible 4-inch square metal box.

Durable Silver Galvanized Steel

Made in the USA from approximately 1/16-inch-thick galvanized steel, this cover provides the strength and durability required for exposed electrical installations. Its clean silver galvanized finish helps resist corrosion, oxidation and rust and is ready to install as supplied.

Crushed Corners for Easier Installation

The fully depressed corners, commonly known as crushed corners, help make box mounting easier and faster. The design provides secure metal-to-metal contact with the electrical box, eliminating the need for a separate bonding jumper when properly installed.

This cover can be installed on compatible drawn or welded 4-inch square steel electrical boxes.

Common Applications

This 4-inch square double toggle switch cover is commonly used with surface-mounted electrical boxes in garages, workshops, warehouses, factories, basements, utility rooms, mechanical rooms and commercial buildings.

It is a practical choice for electricians, electrical contractors, maintenance departments and property managers who need to install two conventional toggle switches in one exposed 4x4 electrical box.

Switch Compatibility

The two narrow rectangular openings are designed for standard toggle-style switches. This cover is not intended for rocker, decorator or GFCI devices, which require larger rectangular openings.

Important: This is a raised electrical box cover made specifically for a 4-inch square metal electrical box. It is not a conventional two-gang wall plate for a standard in-wall device box.
