4-Inch Square Raised Cover for a GFCI Outlet or Rocker Switch
This 4-inch square raised electrical box cover is designed to mount one standard decorator-style wiring device directly to a compatible 4x4 metal electrical box. The rectangular opening fits many commonly used devices, including a GFCI or GFI receptacle, rocker switch, decorator switch, dimmer switch, occupancy sensor or compatible USB receptacle.
Also commonly called a 4-square GFCI cover, 4x4 rocker switch cover, raised device cover or exposed-work cover, it is an excellent solution for surface-mounted electrical installations where the box and wiring device remain exposed.
1/2-Inch Raised Exposed-Work Design
The 1/2-inch raised profile provides room for the wiring device while covering the electrical box and enclosed wire connections. The device mounts securely to the cover, and the completed assembly attaches directly to a compatible 4-inch square metal box.
Durable Silver Galvanized Steel
Made from approximately 1/16-inch-thick galvanized steel, this cover provides the strength needed for commercial, industrial and residential electrical installations. The clean silver galvanized finish helps resist corrosion, oxidation and rust and is ready to install as supplied.
Crushed Corners for Faster Box Mounting
The fully depressed corners, commonly called crushed corners, are designed to make mounting easier and faster while providing secure metal-to-metal contact with the electrical box. The cover is compatible with both drawn and welded 4-inch square steel boxes.
